Enterprise Support Project -this project has now ended
Enterprise Support was a two-year partnership project between
East Oxford Action and Co-operative Futures, which delivered business
start-up and ongoing business advice to improve performance to disadvantaged
communities and groups in Oxfordshire. It also gave business advice
to businesses employing people from the target communities and groups.
The main activities of this project are:
- The delivery of business support sessions to disadvantaged communities
- both geographical communities and communities of interest. This approach
will be very outreach-focused and will hold drop-in sessions and training
where the communities are based.
- The delivery of support to businesses employing people from the target
groups.This will include working with more mainstream businesses to encourage
greater employment opportunities for people from the target groups.
- To identify, recruit and give accredited training to possible advisers
with areas of specialist expertise drawn form the target groups. The training
will also cover issues specific to disadvantaged communities and groups.
