Through Co-operative Futures participation in Co-operatives South East (the regional co-operative council for the region) we are also partners in the CDU Co-Financing Programme.
The aim of this programme is to provide a joined up initiation and response support service to those pursuing the development of social enterprise in the region, whatever their starting point.
Objectives
1. To provide specialist advice and support to 400 individuals;
including IAG, 1-1 Support sessions, training workshops and intensive onsite
training.
2. To provide specialist advice and support for 200 organisations; including
training workshops, mentoring and business support (e.g. feasibility studies).
3. Additional outputs and requirements: training programme's; UnLtd awards
to potential social entrepreneurs; dissemination and awareness raising events
and network support.
4. Target of 20% of beneficiaries from BME communities and 20% disabled
CDU is an informal partnership of Co-operatives SE, Development Trusts Association SE, and UnLtd (lead partner). This programme runs until 31st December 2006.
